writing

"The difference between the almost right word and the right word ... it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning." Mark Twain knew that close isn't good enough when it comes to writing.

I have been writing for as long as I can remember--news stories, magazine profiles, narrative nonfiction, annual reports, speeches, website content, fiction, books--and I know the rush that comes when you clinch the right word, when the pacing is right, and when text persuasively conveys a new idea.

I believe powerful writing should resonates with the reader.  Powerful writing is what I bring to a collaboration.
