I begin the morning by brewing espresso while relishing the idea that I will spend my day playing with words. After many years working for newspapers and magazines in the United States and Latin America, I became a freelance writer and editor and a book author. I currently live in Washington, D.C., across from a beautiful public library, in a house filled with books.
